SAP solutions
SAP (System, Applications and Products) is a business management solution which enables the effective accounting, planning, analysis and optimisation of companies’ and organisations‘ economic activity.
As well as ensuring the core business processes necessary for companies to function – financial, materials and personnel management – SAP also provides management of sector-specific processes. The specific requirements of trading, metallurgical, logistics, vehicle manufacturing, transport, energy, oil and gas companies have been implemented in the system, and banking and public sector solutions have been developed which differentiate this system from other enterprise management solutions. A special solution has been developed for each sector to fully support and cover its enterprise management processes.

Lattelecom Technology offers one of the world’s leading solutions, SAP Business All-in-One. This solution, through the integration of the world’s best business-management practice, has been enhanced for almost forty years. The solution has proved itself in a number of sectors – it is used by more than 48 000 customers all around the world, including leading companies like BMW, Deutsche Bank, Lufthansa, Nokia and Procter&Gamble.

Lattelecom Technology started cooperating with SAP AG – the developer of Europe’s leading enterprise resource planning system SAP – as long ago as 1996. In April 2003, SAP AG conferred Lattelecom Technology its highest possible status, that of an SAP Service Alliance Partner, in the Baltics. Lattelecom Technology is currently the only company in our region that has achieved this status.

Lattelecom Technology‘s advantage is its unique SAP project experience in all three Baltic States, guaranteeing an understanding of the legislative and business environments, in some cases – the unique needs of specific sectors (in the public sector – the exchange of information between the State Budget department and the State Treasury, in the private sector – oil product transportation logistics, production control management).

Lattelecom Technology‘s major customers include:
  • Latvijas dzelzceļš (Latvian railways)
  • Latvia’s Ministry of Finance
  • A/S Rīgas siltums (municipal heating supplier)
  • SBA UAB (Lithuania)
  • Latvian State Treasury
  • SIA Ventspils naftas termināls

Lattelecom Technology implements SAP solution in compliance with the implementation methodology developed by SAP, which is divided into five project stages.

1. Project preparation
During this stage, project planning is undertaken and strategic decisions are made:
1) defining of project objectives and tasks
2) setting of limits to project scale
3) defining of project schedule, budget and order of implementation
4) setting up of project organisation and allocation of required resources

2. Organisational process handbook
During this stage, a description of how the company’s business processes and organisational structure will be reflected in the SAP system is drawn up.

3. Realisation
During this stage, the SAP system is configured and supplemented in accordance with the requirements described in the organisational process handbook. User documentation is written and certain system modules undergo testing.

4. Final preparation
During this stage, system integrity testing and user training is undertaken. Preparation is undertaken for system implementation: responsibility for SAP system maintenance is defined, system change planning and planning for the shutting down of the previous system are undertaken.

5. System implementation and maintenance
During this stage, the transfer from the testing environment to the productive environment is carried out. System monitoring and optimisation are executed.
